I'm looking for a new good book/series to read. Especially fantasy if you know of one.. here are the series/authors I've read
Robin Hobb (except her newest one)
George RR Martin
Feist - All those pug ones and stuff
The Briar series - by martin or something
Belgariad and those books by the same author
Ill-Made Mute (good book)
Kushiel's whatever series
Wheel of Time - is that jordan?
Some series with 5-7 worlds... Haplo is the main char.
then a bunch of others, I feel like i'm running dry
I started into some spy stuff, Ludlum and some other girl.. I forget.
I dunno, IDEAS! PLEASE!

I'd most certainly go with Katherine Kerr's books. They are awesome. |

Try a slightly different genre...
Kingsmeat, by Orson Scott Card (A set of his short stories, and the book that originally got me turned on to Card. He reminds me a little bit of Philip K. Dick. Great stuff.)
Pastwatch, also Orson Scott Card. (This one's a novel about time travel and consequences... also some really neat theories about Atlantis and slavery being the primary cause of our civilization's downfall. I seriously couldn't put this one down, it's awesome.)
A Fisherman of the Inland Sea, by Ursula Le Guin (one of my favorite authors... she's sci-fi without being hopelessly trekkie, and most of her stories feel more like lean mean poetic fantasy to me than like sci-fi. She's fantastic.)
Try finding a copy of the Philip K. Dick Reader. It's a compilation of Philip K. Dick's stories. I've gone through our copy several times and still don't get bored with it. Just be ready for some of it to be fairly dark and a little creepy.
Good luck, Klitchican!

Well I read those Ludlum books. Just the Bourne Series though. Decent books I thought. Currently I'm reading The Catcher in the Rye by J.D. Salinger. I find it kind of interesting but kind of hard to follow, the character goes into so many tangents. Uh, I liked the Once and Future King, a book about King Arthur and his knights. Kind of fitting I think. I don't know, I've had to read quite a few books this school year but they're mostly just to show a certain time period, EX: The Great Gatsby by F.S. Fitzgerald, and we are starting Grapes of Wrath by John Steinbeck. They're okay books I guess, might want to check them out. |

The harry potters are kind of fun reads, but you've got to take into account that they are also meant to be read by younger folks as well. |

I just wanted to thank all you guys for the ideas of books to read. I'm happy to have some options to look into the next time I have enough time to get lost in a few books. |

No offense, but I found most of the dragonlance series abit boring that I never bothered finishing the ones I started reading.
The Sellswords series by RA Salvatore is really good if you like assassins and the like. Artemis Entreri and Jarlaxle are the best duo IMHO.

Ed Greenwood is also a very good author - probably know him for Elminster. His kingless land book was a fun read. |
